About WatchLight
WatchLight is a simple way to answer one question: where can I watch this? Search any movie or TV show and instantly see where it's included with a subscription, where it's free, and where to rent or buy — with links that open the service directly. It works in your browser and installs to your phone's home screen. No account, no sign-up.
Your privacy
WatchLight is built to need as little of your data as possible.
- No account, no tracking.There are no logins, no advertising trackers, and no analytics profiles. We don't sell or share personal data — we don't collect it to begin with.
- Stored on your device only. Your recently-viewed titles and your country choice are saved in your own browser (local storage and a single functional cookie). Clearing your browser data removes them. The “Clear” button next to “Recently viewed” wipes that list anytime.
- Searches aren't stored.When you search, your query is sent to our server only to fetch results from our data provider, then returned to you. We don't keep a history of what you searched.
- Approximate location. Streaming availability differs by country, so we detect your country from your connection to show relevant results. You can change it anytime with the country switcher.
- Standard hosting logs. Like any website, our host (Vercel) may keep short-lived technical request logs for security and reliability.
- Links leave WatchLight. “Watch”, “Rent”, and “Buy” links take you to third-party services (Netflix, Prime Video, Apple TV, and others), which are governed by their own privacy policies.
Where the data comes from
Streaming availability, prices, artwork, and deep links are provided by the Streaming Availability API by Movie of the Night. Availability changes often and is refreshed regularly, but it can occasionally be out of date — always confirm on the service itself.
